Then, Mrs. Velez returns with a fresh pack of biscuits and a silver tumbler in
her hands.
Turning to Mrs. Velez, “thank you for a delicious dinner and desert.”
“You’re quite welcome, Mr. Thomas.”
“And I will return the tumbler next time I visit.”
“That's alright, Alonzo,” Mrs. McDaniel chimes. “Have a good night.”
“Thank you. Good night ladies,” and he makes his exit
