appreciative; attempting to move into a new city during a week day would have been
more tasking -- considering his schedule. Not too far, beyond the kitchen’s island, is
an exceptionally fine 9-piece formal dining ensemble in a cherry wood finish. It
features a large (72" x 42" x 30") rectangular shaped table and chairs embellished
with floral patterns (each chair in upholstered with a cream seat cushion), and a
matching hutch to store china’s and other valuable dining objet d'art.
Suddenly, amidst all the jokes and laughter, “thank you, Mr. Thomas,” getting
on his feet. “We’ve got to be heading our way.”
“Back to Monroe?”
“No, our corporate’s in Baton Rouge.”
“Oh, okay ... At least that is closer than Monroe.”
“Most definitely. Again, thank you for your hospitality.”
“Yes, thank you, Sir,” Romeo grabs a piece of pizza, possibly for the road.
“Please, take the whole box. I appreciate your hard work and the laughter.”
“Thank you,” Romeo places the piece back in the box, closes, and takes it with
him.
“you bet ---”
