GUIDELINES FOR COURTESY COMMITTEE

The approved chapter guidelines for the Courtesy Committee
are as follows:

Deaths

Active soror Standing spray or contribution to a
memorial fund. Will assist in serving
the family after the funeral services
provided the family accepts. The
Basileus will confirm this at the time
the Ivy Beyond the Wall service is
discussed. Three to six sorors (or
more as need and not limited to
Courtesy Committee) will provide
the service.
Mother, father, child, Potted plant plus delivery, or gift
husband of an active soror card, or contribution to a memorial
fund (both at the value of the potted
plant).
Brother, sister, grandparent Gift card or contribution to memorial
fund ($75).
Inactive soror who has Potted Plant plus delivery
been a member of Alpha
Kappa Omega Chapter
Family member of an active Greeting Card
soror

Illness

Hospitalization of soror Potted plant plus delivery or gift
card (at value of potted plant)
At home illness of active Potted plant plus delivery or gift
soror (five days or longer) card (at value of potted plant)
Other illness of soror (long Greeting Card
convalescence)
Illness of member of soror’s Greeting Card
family
