                   what. They represent the  best we have to offer and should
                   serve as models for the communities we serve

             OUR CONTINUING OBLIGATIONS
               •   To remain a fully participating member of Alpha Kappa Alpha
               •   To assume our share of responsibility for support of national
                   and local programs
               •   To follow all approved practices and procedures
               •   To meet the financial obligations as set forth in the Constitution
                   of  the  organization,  including  locally  adopted  chapter
                   assessments
               •   To uphold the rules and regulations of Alpha Kappa Alpha
               •   To strive always to capture a vision fair
               •   To abide by the provisions of our Constitution and ByLaws
               •   To  remain  knowledgeable  regarding  policies,  procedures,
                   programs etc.
               •   To share responsibility for maintaining an effective Chapter
               •   To expend the personal effort necessary to maintain a sense
                   of relationship to other sorors; through dedication and loyalty
               •   Each  soror  has  the  responsibility  to  exhibit  gentleness,
                   patience, firmness

                 GUIDELINES FOR TRANSFERRING RECORDS

            I.  BETWEEN OFFICERS
                It shall be the duty of each officer to give her successor all files,
                supplies  and  other  materials  in  her  possession  after  the
                installation of the new officers and no later than December 31.

             A.  An  officer  should  keep  records  filed  in  an  orderly  manner
                throughout  her  tenure  to  make  assembling  and  transferring  as
                uncomplicated and timely as possible.
