From 6 across with two ends to play, Ann Curtis, Barbara & David French beat Ken 11
Clark, Roy Eade & Chris Scott by 10 shots to 3. from 4 - 10 down John Bellett, Norma &
Clive Wilkins fought back to 11 all after scoring a three on the last end but Jennifer Matthews,
Joy Crang & Trevor Martin scored a single on the sudden death extra end to win 12 - 11.
In another very tight finish, David Linzell, Pat Tatnell & Ron Seabrook edged through 7
- 6 over Alec Curtis, Bob & Barbara Reeves. David, Pat & Ron were then involved in a very
close semi-final but this time they lost 7 - 8 to Ann Curtis, Barbara & David French.
In the other semi-final Eileen Bellett, Sheila & Roger Booker had a comfortable 9 - 5 win
over Jennifer Matthews, Joy Crang & Trevor Martin. In the final Eileen, Sheila & Roger led 3
- 0 after two ends but Ann Curtis, Barbara French found another gear to win the next five ends
to lead 10 - 3 and despite dropping a four eventually won 12 - 7.

ties including
evening enter-
tainment. There is also a heated indoor pool, a Coffee shop, Bar and a number of other
facilities. Apart from Single accommodation, we only use upgraded Chalets and there
are Lodges and new Harbour Suites available. A large varied selection of food is avail-
able at breakfast and your evening meal. Free WiFi is available in public areas.
Your Short mat Holiday is staged in the 6 rink indoor Arena and as usual
we organise three events of Pairs, Triples and Singles with all events start-
ing on a round robin basis to ensure you get plenty of games. We also
usually manage to hold a fun bowls drive on our opening evening. Prize
money and personalised framed certificates are also presented.
