The final round of games saw Ireland remain undefeated with a 46 - 26 win over England, 19
including a 14 - 2 win for Colm McHugh’s rink and a stunning 22 - 2 win by Kevin Conroy,
England’s best was a 15 - 2 by Roger Wiggins. In the Scotland v Wales match the Scots pushed
the Welsh all the way but eventually lost 41 - 30 in a fairly tight match.
Ireland’s undefeated run left them on 12 points with Wales second on 6 with a shots plus of
20. England had the same number of points but had a shots deficit of 14, leaving them in lowly
third place with Scotland pointless in last place.

In the first round of the Premier Singles, England’s Ryan Knight started off with a 19 - 15 win over
Wales’ A. Jones, whilst Scotland’s Lawrence Moffat beat Ireland’s John Quinn 20 - 14. Jones
then bounced back against his Irish opponent and romped home 25 - 9. Moffat meanwhile was in
a tussle with Ryan Knight but eventually won 16 - 13. The third round of games saw Moffat and
Jones in a last round game. A very close match ensued but in the end the Welsh player triumphed
with a 16 - 14 game ensuring his championship victory. All this whilst John Quinn was recording
his first win beating Ryan Knight by a comfortable 20 - 11 scoreline.

Ireland’s Kevin & Sean Conroy firmly nailed their colours to the mast with an opening 23 - 6 win
over Scotland’s Finlay & Fraser Ross. In the other first round game Ladd & Davies for Wales beat
England’s Lee & Bronagh Toleman by 16 - 10.
