            20    The second round saw the Conroy’s beat the Welsh pair 17 - 9.  Meanwhile the Scots pair
                  inflicted England’s second defeat by the narrow single shot margin of 18 - 17. The third and
           final round saw the Conroy’s record another 17 - 9 victory with the England duo being the victims.
           The game between Scotland and Wales saw the Welsh duo win 20 - 17 to ensure their runners-
           up spot.

           Two very close games decided the destination of the Triples title, In the opening round the Irish
           trio of Eddie Curran, David Crawford, Nigel Alexander firmly dispatched the English team by 22
           shots to 9. The Welsh trio of Steve Williams, T Harries & Alan Slattery also had a convincing start
           with a 20 - 4 win over Scotland. The second round saw the first of the very close games as Ireland
           beat Scotland by 13 - 12. Meanwhile, England bounced back with a stunning 19 - 4 win over
           Wales. The third and final round saw Ireland score another single shot victory by 13 - 12 over
           Wales that gave them the Triples title.  The English trio of Gareth Davies, Roger Wiggins & AJ
           Brown finished off with another 19 - 4 victory, this time over Scotland, which guaranteed them
           second place.

           Ireland and Wales opened their championship with an honours even 11 all draw. in a very tight
           game England’s Karen Watson, Tom Westlake, Ed Dyer & Luke Jolly edged out Scotland by 9
           shots to 6. In the second round England had an even tighter game with a single shot 13 - 12 win
           over Wales. Ireland’s Alan Paul, Stephen McSorley, Paddy Hanlon, Joe Beattie had an easier run
           with a 19 - 3 result over Scotland. In the final round both Ireland and England faced each other in
           a winner takes all game and it was the Irish who scored another emphatic 19 - 3 win to lift the
           title. Meanwhile, Scotland’s Martyn Lindsay, Nigel Magee, David Kelly & Alex Higgins edged out
           Wales 13 - 12 to ensure that Scotland finished 3rd and Wales 4th.

           A determined England opened up with a 66 - 23 win over Scotland. The best rink for England was
           led by skip Keith Hawkins, who with Elise Daniell, Barry Keirle & Nicky Bartlett won 21 - 3.  Wales
           started with a 39 - 29 result over Ireland. The Welsh won three of the four rinks and the 13 - 5
           game from A. Morgan’s rink helped maintain the 10 shot difference. Wales next faced England
           but lost 41 - 30, with England winning three out of four rinks with no outstanding game. Scotland
           duly lost 55 - 20 to Ireland, with Alan Laughlin, Sean Trainor, Nathan Haire, Dairmuid McMahon
           chipping in with a 19 - 3.
