You should be extremely proud of
your hard work and accomplishments.
During the last 18 months, you
have learned an incredible amount
about both yourself and the
company, while probably stretching
beyond what you thought were your
limits. You have been exceptional
representatives of Con Edison
and I have no doubt that you will
continue to grow as you go on to fill important positions throughout our company.
As our industry faces ever more rapid changes, we need leaders who will help us stay
ahead of the curve while keeping a laser focus on our three priorities: safety,
operational excellence and providing an outstanding customer experience. We cannot
rest until we achieve our safety goal of Zero Harm, for ourselves, our teammates, and
the public we serve. Efficiency and sustainability go hand in hand as we invest in new
technology to improve how we operate and better serve our customers. We are
adopting innovative solutions to reduce our use of fossil fuels without sacrificing
reliability, paving the way for more electric vehicles on the road, and helping all our
customers become more energy efficient--and reducing our own carbon footprint by
nearly 50%--all while managing expenses.
As a leader, you can support our goals by learning everything you can about the
departments and organizations you work in, while being a team player who engages
our employees and fosters inclusion as we evolve, innovate, and envision the future
ahead.
