到这一点又需要首先体会到理论在学术研究中的作用以及社会科学中理论的独特性。
于是我们在这里分两篇文章聊聊以下几个每个社会科学研究者都绕不开的几个话题：

什么是theory?
先看几个学者们的定义：
A theory is an organized body of concepts and principles intended to
explain a particular phenomenon. ” (Leedy and Ormrod, 2005)
“Theories explain how and why something functions the way it does”.
(Johnson
& Christensen, 2007)
“Theories seek to provide logical explanations.” (Babbie, 2014)
总结来说Theory一般需要至少符合以下这么几个特点：
1. 其目的是describe（描述）, explain（解释）和predict（预测）世界上的现象
（但并不是所有theory都能做到这全部三点）；
