policy that has been enforced against other employees,


        will be disqualified.  You can be similarly confident that



        an employee who is terminated for financial reasons, or


        simply for poor performance, will still be able to collect


        benefits.  Closer questions arise when an employee is


        terminated for violating a company expectation that is


        not documented, or a company policy that is sporadically


        enforced.


               Usually an employee who quits voluntarily is


        ineligible to collect unemployment, but there are


        exceptions here as well.  First, if the employee can


        establish that he had good cause for leaving based on


        something the employer did (examples include non-


        payment of wages, in some circumstances a pay cut or a


        demotion or other change in job circumstances), he will


        be eligible for benefits.  Second, if the employee can
