up visits (“Therapeutic Procedure”) that had first been approved + the # of
additional visits requesting. For example, a patient’s referral was for 1
evaluation and 15 follow up visits. The visits have been exhausted and
the clinic is requesting another 8 follow up visits. Update the number of
Therapeutic Procedure units to 23 (15 + 8).
1. Extend the End Date if necessary.
2. Click Save.
ii. The Edit Procedure box will close and any changes made will be
highlighted in blue in the Case Authorization Information on the
Authorization/Referral Update page.
