                            Arizona Summer League...2018 AZL Angels finished season with a 16-38 record In first
                            campaign at helm of the AZL Angels, Club won 30 games and finished second in the East
                            Division...Managed Orem in Pioneer League in 2014, 2015 and 2016...In 2016, led Orem to
                            Pioneer League Championship with sweep of Billings in Championship Series...In 2015, led
                            Owlz to a 24-14 first-half record, winning the first-half title but fell in the Pioneer League
             South division playoff series...Guided Owlz to a 42-33 record and a playoff berth in 2014, where Owlz were defeated
             by Billings in the Championship Series...Previously coached his alma mater Grand Canyon University for 17 seasons,
             including more than 10 years as head coach with a 256-290 (.469) record with the Antelopes...The GCU softball
             stadium, Stapleton-Pierson Stadium, is partially named after him...Spent six seasons in the Milwaukee Brewers
             organization as a left-handed relief pitcher from 1984-89...Pitched 10 Major League games for Milwaukee (1987-88),
             finishing with a 2-0 record and 3.81 (28.1 IP - 12 ER) career ERA...In 1987, across Double-A, Triple-A and the Majors,
             went 13-3 with a 3.68 ERA...Lives in Arizona with wife, Patti, and their two kids, Kadi and Dakota.

              Bobby Knoop, an All-Star role model for the Angels on and off the field
              both as a player and a coach, announced his retirement this Spring after
              53 years in professional baseball. One of the original Angels stars during
              the team’s first decade of existence, he was a four-time recipient of the
              Owner’s Trophy, presented annually to the Club’s Most Valuable Player.
              When his playing career concluded, Knoop managed two seasons in the
              Angels farm system, before spending 18 campaigns as a Major League
              coach from 1979-1996.  His final stint with the organization as a Special
              Assignment  Infield  Coach  stretched  from  2013-2018.  His  passion  for
              baseball is well-known throughout the industry and his knowledge of
              the game and opinions has been sought out from across the spectrum of
              front office personnel, players and staff.  He remains one of baseball’s true
              gentlemen, whose sage advice, heartfelt opinions and love of the game
              continues to be respected across the generations.
                                     mara forcey award

                The Mara Forcey Award recognizes a member of the minor league staff for their outstanding
                dedication to the organization.
                The award is named after an Angels staff member who lost her battle with cancer in 1993.
                Forcey was a model employee and friend to all.
