Staff is responsible for knowing the whereabouts of each individual
when that individual’s plan indicates a need for supervision.
During each shift, staff shall periodically account for all individuals.
If an individual cannot be accounted for, staff shall:

• Immediately notify their PA/Immediate Supervisor.

If still missing after 4 hours EPIC shall:
• Pursue other search strategies with the local police depart-
ment. Quality Assurance will follow procedures for reporting
the incident to DDA.
If still missing after 24 hours EPIC shall:
• File and official missing persons report with the local police
department and the Police.
• Cease the search and allow the police to continue looking for
the individual(s).
