              When  Sarasota  Memorial  Hospital—Venice  opens  in  2021,  it  will  be  the  public  hospital’s  largest
              expansion in its 94 year history. The overall project includes the development of a 65 acre site to in-

              clude a 90 bed, 355,000 square foot acute care hospital and 60,000 square foot medical office build-
              ing. There will be 80 adult private acute care suites and 10 obstetric (LDRP) beds, and 8 surgical
              suites. The new facility will also include a 20 bed observa.on unit and 25 emergency case treatment
              rooms. It will also u.lizes a 15kV distribu.on system fed from a 25,000 square foot Central  Energy
              Plant.

              Tri-City Electrical Contractors, Inc. competed in a mul.-.er prequalifica.on process which narrowed
              the prospec.ve design assist partners un.l Tri-City was selected based on available field resources to

              meet the demanding schedule, pre-construc.on/opera.ons team strength and over-all budget for
              the project. Tri-City performed preconstruc.on services during the 6 month design period which in-
              cluded weekly discussions with the construc.on team that yielded valuable informa.on about the
              design intent leading the economic decisions to influence the budget.
