There is an “FW” grade option available. An "FW" grade is issued when a student has
both ceased participating in a course sometime after the last day to officially
withdraw from the course without having achieved a final passing grade, and the
student has not received district authorization to withdraw from the course under
extenuating circumstances. Note: An "FW" grade counts the same as an "F" grade in
terms of GPA calculation”.
The only time you will indicate the “last date of attendance” is when issuing an FW
grade.
Once you submit grades in WebAdvisor, make a copy of your Grading Confirmation
page, sign, date and return along with any Incomplete Contracts to the Admissions and
Records office.
*It is imperative to frequently check your VVC email for updates and deadlines. *
Communicate Regularly with Students Using VVC’s Learning Management System:
Canvas
All CCAP staff will be provided access to Canvas training.
Canvas is a great tool for communicating with your students (See “Class Emails”). This
function works as an Inbox of sorts and does not allow you to send to anyone outside of
the class.
For more information, please email onlinehelp@vvc.edu or call (760) 245-4271 Ext 2784.
Student Conduct
If you have student conduct issues, please contact the Coordinator of Dual Enrollment, Chris
Piercy as soon as possible. Most issues can be resolved by including high school personnel.
The student may need to be reminded by the principal or their designee that they have been
select to participate in this program and it needs to be taken seriously. In addition, the CCAP
grade they receive will be on their permanent academic transcript.
If you see issues other than what is stated above, please refer to the Victor Valley College’s
AP 5520(a) and the “Incident Report Form”.
