Students enrolled in COLLEGE courses offered as part of this CCAP Agreement at the
SCHOOL DISTRICT shall be assessed using the same methods (e.g. papers, portfolios, quizzes,
labs, etc.) as students in courses taught on the COLLEGE Campus. (VVC Dual Enrollment:
CCAP MOU)
Syllabus
Your syllabus is due to the dean’s office before the first day of class. See the “Syllabus
Template”.
Student Learning Outcomes (SLO’s)
See “Faculty Handbook” for information about Student Learning Outcomes.
High school orientation meeting
The Bridge Counselor or Principal for each high school will hold an onsite orientation or one on
one meeting with the CCAP Instructors. The site will be responsible for communicating the
time, date, and location of the meeting. Please reach out to CCAP Program secretary Jill
Caldwell for high school point of contact information.
Keys
Keys are assigned by the high school and not through VVC’s Maintenance and Operations
Department. The assigning of rooms and the issue of keys will be dealt with at the site
orientation. At the end of the term, make sure you return your keys to the high school
personnel or the Coordinator of Dual Enrollment.
Books and Materials
A recommended list of books is available from your department chair (see Division and
Department Information). Once you have chosen a book, please send the title, author, edition,
and ISBN to CCAP Program secretary Jill Caldwell and the site CCAP Counselor or District
Coordinator. The site Counselor or District Coordinator will order the book, which will be
delivered to the high school library. This may take several weeks. Once you are notified that
your books have been delivered, please allow time for your students to sign them out. The
books are the property of the high school district.
Open Educational Resources
One of the biggest challenges our high school district partners face with CCAP is the cost of
books. Under the MOU that governs this program, the secondary schools are responsible for
purchasing the textbooks. As the instructor of the course, you have the right to select your
textbook. We would like you to take a moment and look at OER as an option. Open
Educational Resources are any teaching, learning, and research resources that are free to access.
