Relationship coaching
hope reviver
Howayda Al Demerdash is a family and
relationship trainer, consultant, and coach. Before
establishing her career, she had a vision for
reforming the education in Egypt. she started
digging deep into the family and relationship
‘coaching fields. In 2006, she founded her
institution.
“I always try to make her happy, I always try to show
her my love through actions, words, and gifts, but she always
ends up dissatisfied,” Ahmed, a husband resorted to
Dr. Howayda Al Demerdash, says. “I love him so much, I
know that he is always trying to make me happy, but his trials
always fail because he does not know how to make me
happy,” Sara, Ahmed’s wife, says.
This is not the case of Ahmed and Sara only; it is the case
of thousands of couples who find in divorce the best mercy
shot for their marriages.
Recently, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has been
focusing on the importance of demolishing the increasing
divorce rates in Egypt. Shockingly, the Minister of Social
Solidarity Dr. Ghada Waly has revealed that the number of
divorce cases in Egypt has increased to 186,000 during the
last decade. Dr. Howayda Al Demerdash explains the reasons
behind the increasing rates of divorce to find the most
appropriate solutions to save marriages.
Strong determination is the key factor
Dr. Al Demerdash says: “The majority of the cases suc-
ceed to save their marriages because they have the intention
and willingness to continue their lives together.” She says that
the least percentage of the cases, who visit her, goes to the
couples who fail to solve their problems and resort to the
divorce. Retrieving the cases of divorce in her memory, she
says that 16 cases have not exerted the needed effort and
accordingly they are now divorced.
The biggest enemy to the couples’ life is miscommunication
Dr. Al Demerdash believes that all the couples’ problems
are caused by the lack of proper communication. She
acknowledges that the poor communication’s major symptom
is the feeling of unhappiness although there are no major
problems between the couples. She says: “According to
statistics, 97% of the divorce cases are caused by
miscommunication.”
Surprisingly, she says that miscommunication increases the
probability of divorce more than other causes, such as domes-
tic violence and stinginess.
