PART TWO: WHAT ORIENTATION IS ALL ABOUT

                 Orientation
All new employees (Front of House and Back of House) will participate in a comprehensive new hire orientation
that introduces new employees to our company, our brands, and the restaurant where they will be working . The
overall responsibility for the success and effectiveness of orienting new employees to Fox Restaurant Concepts lies
with the General Manager of the restaurant; however, this may be assigned to a senior restaurant manager . Part 2
of this tool kit will serve as a facilitator’s guide for the manager delivering orientation .

The duration of orientation will vary based on the number of attendees but will require a minimum of three hours .
The purpose is to introduce our company to the employee and cover the most important information that will lead
to a successful onboarding experience .

                 The First Day Experience

Remember your first day on the job? Those initial experiences went a long way in determining how quickly you
became an effective, fully contributing member of the team . Make sure your new employees are getting the same
                 experience .

Each restaurant should have a regularly scheduled orientation each week . Having a dedicated day and time will
make the process more efficient, and deter employees from interrupting .

Standards for the first day experience:
                     • Plan the orientation day, time, and location
                     • Dedicate the necessary time
                     • New employees start work on orientation day, and we do not allow employees to start before
                     • Remember that first days leave lasting impressions

When the offer of employment is extended, be sure to communicate to the newly hired employee your first day
                 expectations .

                     • Date, time and duration
                     • Location
                     • What to wear
                     • Who to call (in case of questions beforehand)
                     • 1 page I–9 and WOTC instructions (fill in restaurant locations)
                     • Necessary documents to bring in on first day (Social Security Card, I–9 documentation, blank check,
                        etc .,)
                     • Name of the certified trainer the new employee will work with on their first day (if available)
                     • Food Safety and/or Alcohol Service Certifications (state specific)
