MANAGEMENT
Fox Restaurant Concepts takes great pride in promoting many of our employees from within the
organization .
Who’s Responsible?
Newly hired managers, hourly promotions to management, and manager transfers are all handled by HR
at the Big Kitchen .
Electronic I-9
The ONLY step to be completed at the restaurant for a newly hired manager is the electronic I-9 .
This is done on the first day of training by the GM or EC at the training location . The new manager
will receive an onboarding email from HR prior to their first day of training with instructions on how
and when to complete Section 1 of the I-9, as well as what employment authorization documents to
bring on the first day of training so that the GM or EC can complete Section 2 of the I-9 for the new
manager .
TERMINATION OF MANAGEMENT
While you may be asked to assist in completing and submitting termination documents, the ultimate
responsibility is with the Regional Director of Operations . Termination documents include a Termination
PAF, resignation letter (if applicable) and disciplinary forms (if applicable) .
STATE LAWS ON TERMINATION
Terminations are never fun or easy . However, they will take place inevitably, and the last thing we
want to do is make the transaction any more difficult or awkward than it needs to be .
For further information on State Termination Laws, please refer to the following documents:
• California Separation Pamphlet
• Final Pay Policy (see specific state document for your requirements)
• Involuntary Separation of Employment Policy
• Voluntary Separation of Employment Policy
• Notice to Employee as to Change in Relationship (CA restaurants – specific versions by
store)
