               Electrical Power Supply

The electrical power supply consists of a steel enclosure with a structural base to which the
system’s main 3-phase transformer is mounted. On the front of the main enclosure is a control
panel where the rectifier instruments and indicator lights are located. The AC to DC rectifier is
mounted in the upper portion of the main enclosure, above the main transformer. Cooling fans are
located below the main transformer and below the silicon-controlled rectifiers(SCRs). Three auxiliary
single-phase transformers are also located in the power supply enclosure. The rectifier control and
isolation boards are mounted in the side control enclosure.
