Leave of Absence
7. Leave for Training or Skill Development
In each calendar year, the Company may allow employee to take leave for training or skill development as
follows:
Conditions
1. Leave for training or skill development is granted for the following purposes:
1.1 For the interest of labor and social welfare or for enhancing employee skill and expertise to improve
employee work performance. Such training shall have established program curriculum with definite
training duration.
1.2 For taking an educational examination held or endorsed by the state authorities.
1.3 The Company reserves the right to consider whether such leave with or without pay. This is to prevent
any disruption to the smooth operation of the Company.
2. As per Labor Law, an employee may take leave for training or skill development for either a maximum of
30 days or 3 occasions per year.
Procedures
An employee shall submit an e-leave request to his/her supervisor at least 7 working days in advance,
with supporting documents attached. Once permission from supervisor is granted, then the employee
may take leave accordingly.
The employee has to submit the Training Certificate to the Human Resources Department within 7
working days after returning to work.
