and you can clearly see people walking down the street in front of your house a hundred
feet away.

Windows should be double-paned with two locks if possible. Double-paned windows
will not only save you on your heating and cooling bills, but they will dampen noises
outside in the community. Additionally, they are a lot more difficult to break through. If
an intruder breaks through the several panes (if you have two locks), then he is going to
make a lot of noise and a lot of sharp edges for him to get cut on and leave behind his
DNA. Just like with your doors, keep your windows locked, or buy locks that allow you
several locking positions along the window’s track.
