Company Excellence through Matching in Leadership

Basic prerequisite: The fit must be right

It is a well-known and often true saying: employees do not leave the
company, but their manager (or managers). However, they stay
(longer and more willingly) with the company and thus with the
manager if they are convinced that the relationship between them
and the boss is a good one. They are then prepared to identify with
the company and the workplace, to perform better and to give their
                              best.

What companies really need is a matching-oriented
leadership. Because this leads to entrepreneurial excellence.

This has several consequences: Matching-oriented companies
demand and promote or enable matching-oriented leadership by
creating the framework conditions for type-appropriate motivation
and leadership. They use the aforementioned tools to increase the fit
between the personality of a manager and the personality of an
employee or even several team members. The same applies to
competencies. However, two other aspects are important.
In aspect 1, the match between the personality of the manager
and that of the employee is relevant. However, just as important -
if not even more important - is the match created by the fact that
the manager has the competence to adapt his behavior, his
approach and his management style to the personality of the
employee and to adapt to him. She should be able to abstract and
detach from herself. Let's take the example of "leadership style" to
illustrate this: The manager increases the match probability by
acquiring a variety of leadership styles. In a given situation, he or she
is able to activate exactly the respective leadership style,
