Security / SAFE Inspection
6 Section/Location: Gate C Staff Name: Wesley Time: 11:17AM
Question
Wesley kindly passed Ms. Shopper and her daughter a water bottle. There were two staff members with several boxes ready to pass out the water bottles. Wesley
stated, "enjoy the game."
7 Section/Location: Top of Escalator Gate A Staff Name: Gary Time: 11:35AM
Gary was positioned at the top of the Escalator near Gate A. He was keeping a watchful eye, but there was no communication with the fans. Ms. Shopper felt there
could be some interaction directing fans to The DTE Power or perhaps stating there are great specials being offered and pointing them towards The Blitz.
8 Section/Location: Top of Escalator Gate A Staff Name: Richard Time: 11:36AM
Richard was at the top of the Escalator outwardly asking if fans needed assistance. He was actively asking if fans needed assistance if they had a puzzled look on
their face. Ms. Shopper appreciated his proactive approach.
9 Section/Location: Section E - Smoking Time: 2:41PM
At halftime, the smoking section was very busy. Fans were practically shoulder to shoulder. Everyone seemed to be in good spirits, talking about the game and
general conversation. It was a controlled crowd, smoking away.
10 Section/Location: Kids Football Run Staff Name: Marilyn Time: 3:56PM
As Ms. Shopper approached Section 127 she saw several Power Squad females gathered holding up signs and passing information out for the kids touchdown run.
Ms. Shopper lined up with 4:21 minutes on the game clock. The line at this point was at Bar 35 in Section 125. There were about 100 people already in line. The
Power Squad was doing a great job passing out the waivers and stamping participants hands. Although, the entire group of females were moving with the line. Ms.
Shopper felt they maybe should spread themselves out so when new fans want to join they can direct them to the end of the line. Since there was a gap made for
fans to use the restroom near Bar 35, several fans jumped in line ahead of Ms. Shopper. Ms. Shopper informed the SAFE staff member Marilyn and she directed the
fans to the end of the line. Marilyn then positioned herself at the end of the line so additional fans would not enter the line. Ms. Shopper was pleased to witness
this.
