SOCIALIZING
In an effort to avoid sexual harassment or discrimination claims against you, this may arise from the
perception of “favoritism” by other Team Members. Cliff’s socializing policy strongly discourages
fraternization between Supervisors and their Team Members. Additionally, Supervisors are not
permitted to become involved in a romantic relationship with subordinates; those who work under your
supervision.
PROBLEM SOLVING
Always look at several different approaches to solving the problem you are dealing with. Evaluate the
logic of each approach and base your decision on the most logical solution. Seek input and advice from
your fellow Supervisors and Managers take advantage of the experience of your co-workers. Quite often
another Supervisor or Manager has been through a similar experience and can offer valuable input or
suggest a solution.
ATTITUDE
Your attitude, as a leader, will set the tone for your entire team. People tend to mirror each other and
team Members, in particular, tend to mirror their Supervisors. If your attitude is positive and
enthusiastic, the people you work with will reflect that by becoming more positive and enthusiastic.
YOUR APPEARANCE
UNIFORMS
Supervisors will purchase shirts and shorts throughout the season. You must keep yourself presentable
at all times. Your uniform shirt and pants/shorts should always be clean and free of wrinkles. Also, you
are required to wear white or black ankle socks and a black belt. Your shoes should be kept clean as well,
giving you a crisp, clean look from head to toe. It is your responsibility to purchase a new shirt or shorts
if yours are faded or damaged. If not, you will be told be upper management to replace needed items of
your uniform.
HAIR
Hair must be kept neat and orderly, in a conservative hairstyle. Male Supervisor’s hair will be worn no
longer than collar length. Males must also maintain beards. Other colors that are not natural browns,
black or blonde such Reds, Grays and Silvers are permitted hair colors but must be well maintained from
fading or color change. Both male and female Supervisors may be asked to keep their hair tied back with
a hair tie at all times as a safety measure depending on their department.
