Personal cellphone use is prohibited while on comapny time; you may use your cell
phone during your unpaid breaks only. Cell phones must be stored in lockers or should
be left at home; they are not permitted in your work area or on you personally during
work time. If you choose to store your cell phone in an employee locker, please note
that Cliff’s is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Management is not permitted
to hold cell phones for team members.
If someone needs to contact you for an emergency during the day, they should call the
office and the office will contact you. Similarly, you may ask your supervisor to use the
phone in Guest Services if you need to make a phone call in an emergency situation.
You may not:
o Use your cell phone as a watch, or to take pictures or video on Cliff’s
property during work hours.
o Text while the phone is hidden in your pocket or purse during work hours.
o Use Web-based applications (Such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram
etc.) while on the clock.
Violations of the cell phone policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including
immediate termination.
Cell Phone Policy for Full-Time Employees:
Full time employees are allowed to carry their personal cell phones while on company
time for emergency purposes only or for work related matters. Excessive use of
personal phone calls, emails, social media or surfing the internet will not be permitted
while on company time. If an employee abuses this policy this privilege will be taken
away from that specific employee and they will no longer be able to have or use their
cell phone while on company time and they may be subject to disciplinary action, up to
and including termination.
Employees must use hands-free devices when talking on their cell phones, while driving
for company business. Supervisors are not permitted to hold cell phones for team
members. Seasonal employees are not permitted to have their personal cell phones with
them while working any shift.
E-mail
E-mail is Cliff’s Amusement Park’s property and is subject to audits and reviews of any
incoming and outgoing messages. There should be no expectation of privacy regarding
company email. A review of employee’s email accounts may be necessary if there is a
reasonable suspicion of inappropriate use of an email account. Personal emails are not
allowed during work hours.
Do not use company email addresses to register on social networks, blogs or other online
tools utilized for personal use.
