ACID INJECTION SKID

The Acid Injection Skid (AIS) is an ROV mounted ‘under-
slung’ skid that is designed to store up to 400 Litres of
Acid. The hydraulic supply to the skid is via hydraulic
hoses connected from the ROV to the skid hydraulic
manifold.
The AIS is a skid unit designed to be fitted to the following ROV’s –
FCV3000, Shilling UHD2, Triton XLX and SMD Quantum, note that the
correct pin arrangement must be installed to correctly fit the skid to one of
these ROV’s.

The bladder reservoir is designed to contain subsea cleaning acids; it is
also suitable for water and many other inert liquids.
The bladder is designed for low pressure use; the internal pressure should
not exceed 2 bar (29 psi). The pressure relief valve in the hydraulic circuit is
set so the pressure in the bladder does not exceed this figure. The reservoir
on the AIS can be filled up to 400 litres.
The skid has an integrated tooling basket in front that can be extended out
to suit various types of ROV. The tooling basket also incorporates and ROV
operable valve that can be switched to either allow fluid to be pumped from
the bladder or from seawater.
