450 (300) / 150 BOP INTERVENTION SKID

The BOP Intervention Skid is used to perform testing and
emergency override of BOP sealing functions. The skid is
capable of delivering up to 400 bar and 450lpm and has been
tested to close BOP ram. The fluid reservoir on the skid can
store up to 400 Litres of fluid.

There are two configurations of skid, 450 skid with 400 litre bladder
capacity and 450 LPM and the 300 skid with 400 litre bladder and
300 LPM. The 300 version has one less low pressure pump and
therefore delivers a lower output flow rate. Skid Back View

The function of this skid is to deliver a pressurised volume of glycol
or water based fluid via a single port high flow hot-stab. It is
comprised of three low pressure/high volume water pumps and three
high pressure/low volume pumps (the 300lpm variant has only two
low pressure pumps). These pumps draw Glycol (or a water based
fluid) from the on-board bladder reservoirs, which is then cycled
through the pumps and delivered via the single port high flow hot-
stab.

The skid is also fitted with an ROV Manipulator operated ball valve ROV Interface Section
that facilitates selecting if the fluid is to be pumped from the bladder
reservoir or to draw seawater from the surrounding environment.
