foundations. It breeds hopelessness, disparity, hatred,
and even violence. It is a fact, yet it certainly obscures
the truth when measured against Absolute Truth.

Truth – Minorities are not victims: The ability to regulate
emotions and navigate the ambiguities of life play a

major role in how someone views themselves. Thus,
victimhood can be considered a matter of the mind.

Clinical researchers identified four characteristics
associated with a victim’s mentality. They are (1)
constantly seeking recognition for one’s victimhood, (2)

moral elitism, (3) lack of empathy for the pain and
suffering of others, and (4) repeatedly ruminating about

past victimization. 60,61 An in-depth discussion of these
four characteristics is beyond the scope of this text.

However, research demonstrates that all of these
preconceptions contribute to a diminished inclination to

forgive others for their alleged indiscretions. Those who
traffic in this mindset often express an increased desire
for revenge rather than real resolution and are more

likely to behave in a revengeful manner. 60 So, the
