Prophecies for Israel – fulfilled 1950 to 2000
[Zech. 9:1-8] Israel will control Ashkelon, on Gaza Strip [Mic.5:5-8]
The 2nd Shepherd (Moshe Dayan) will arise
[Dan. 5:25-26] Jerusalem will reunite on appointed day.
[Is.19:16-18] Israel will conquer five Egyptian cities.
[Zech. 9:1-8] Israel will control the seaport city, Ashdod
[Zech. 12:6] Jordan will give up the West Bank
[Zech. 9:1-8] In 1951, Israel re-established the land and
city of Ashkelon that it gained as a result of the 1948
War of Independence. By 2005, Ashkelon has become
the fifth largest city in Israel.
[Mic. 5:5-8] In June of 1967, miraculous prophecy
fulfillments occurred with the 6-day War; in preparation
for that war, GOD raised Israel’s 2nd Shepherd, Moshe
Dayan, to lead them to victory. Israel’s 2nd leader, Levi
Eshkol ordered the attack after Syria had ramped up
attacks that were launched from its Golan Heights
territory. A number of major prophecies were fulfilled
during this historic 6-day war.
[Dan. 5:25-26, Is.19:16-18, Zech. 9:1-8, Zech. 12:6] First,
the precise day that Jerusalem would be returned under
Israel’s control was fulfilled (June 7, 1967). This day can
be mathematically derived through Biblical prophecy as
detailed in Appendix 5. Also, Israel gained the Golan
Heights region. Further, as Isaiah prophesied, Israel
gained control of the Egyptian Sinai Peninsula. That area
included five Egyptian cities that fell under the control of
Israel (Is.19:16-18), “In that day five cities in the land of
Egypt will speak the language of Canaan and swear by
the Lord of hosts”.
