Empathy (Based on the work of Daniel Goleman)
Empathy is a skill that has to be learnt. Some children will be better at these skills because they have
observed and experienced them at home and within their community.
Other children won’t have been so lucky and their skills will still be poor. They may need extra help
to catch up with these skills.
There are three skills involved in empathy:
