How rigorous are your Follow–up systems?
1. Is there a clear procedure for Coaching Conversations to take place?
2. Is there a clear procedure for Repair Time?
3. Are all children clear and certain about these procedures? Do they know they
will always happen?
4. Are all adults clear and certain about these procedures? Do they use them
consistently?
5. When not all adults follow-up, is this picked up and addressed by other
adults?
6. Do the procedures help children to feel better and do better?
7. Do the procedures focus on improving relationships and improving the skills of
empathy?
8. In a school context, are parents informed in ways that empower them with
the information they need to help their child practise skills and do better? Or
do they just feel cross with their child and punish them or blame the school?
