    Experienced interviewers take a holistic approach, as shown in the light shaded area of Figure
4.2, when assessing the truthfulness of an explanation and look for incongruencies rather
than a single clue. This leads to far higher success rates in finding the truth. We suggest in
future you take this approach.

    You already know how and when you are being told lies. This is the easy part. You just have
to consciously accept the reality. The following chapters explain the cunning plan necessary
for dealing with them.
