Observation: and conclusion:
1- The gold leaves divergence increases so
the charge of the tested object is the same as
the electroscope charge (positive charge)
2- The gold leaves divergence decreases
So the charge of the tested object is opposite to the electroscope charge
(negative charge)
Notes:
1. In charging by contact:
* The charged object touches the object to be charged without rubbing.
* The object to be charged acquires the same type of charge as the
touching object.
2. Attraction can occur between an uncharged object and a charged
object, as in the case of paper scraps (uncharged) being attracted to a comb
(after being rubbed).
