FIELD CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT

THE KEY TO EFFICIENTLY USING RESOURCES

The success of construction projects, regardless of size, comes down to how well they are executed in
the field. The size and complexity of Mega Projects requires a shift in the traditional approach to field
construction management. The significant amount of field leadership must be supported, and often
matched, with project management and design resources who are dedicated to the project.
Critical components of field construction management have been broken down into seven
key areas which are essential to the successful execution of Mega Projects:

1 STAFFING CONSIDERATIONS

The upper tier resources outlined below represent the major elements of the field team
that will be required to support the various stages of the project. Primary field leadership,
project management and design resources will be heavily engaged on the preconstruction
efforts. Once the project mobilizes, the preconstruction team will join additional field
leadership and support resources that will make up the dedicated on-site team.
