2 HIGH RISK ACTIVITIES

All construction projects have common field activities which present a risk to the project
if not appropriately planned and managed throughout the course of construction. When
evaluating Mega Projects, the following activities should be considered high risk.

                          SITE UTILIZATION PLANNING + LOGISTICS

Mega Projects should develop comprehensive site utilization plans with logistical models to ensure the locations
for temporary site infrastructure, field offices, storage units, staging areas, etc. are properly coordinated with the
construction schedule and seek to avoid any unplanned relocations during construction. Routes for large cranes or other
equipment should also be modeled to ensure access is adequate, to avoid impacting items such as existing underground
utilities or structures and to properly coordinate access for installing any new underground utilities or structures.
The site utilization and logistic models should also incorporate items such as site and
security access points, dedicated parking areas, maintenance and traffic. Teams should
also consider the use of personnel, material and equipment tracking systems.

                          UNDERGROUND UTILITY IDENTIFICATION

Accurately locating, identifying and surveying existing underground utilities and structures should be
accomplished early during preconstruction. Once locations are captured, existing utilities and structures should
be modeled along with any new utilities and structures for proper coordination and scheduling of work.

                          FIELD COMMUNICATION & COORDINATION

The communication and coordination necessary at the field level will drive the need to expand the
traditional project meeting structure. A daily meeting or series of meetings will need to be established to
ensure contract partners, clients and Haskell leadership clearly understand and properly coordinate key
daily activities prior to the execution of the work. The start time for these meetings will vary but should be
focused on a limited duration to appropriately communicate and coordinate the plan for the day.

                          FIELD CONNECTIVITY

The need for safe, secure and reliable wired and / or wireless connectivity is important
for all projects, but essential for larger projects where the entire project teams (including
project management, designers and Owners) are all stationed on-site.

                          COMPLEX GEOMETRY

Mega Projects have large sites or involve complex geometry (building or process / packaging systems) and therefore
need a coordinated control system for the entire project including the project site. The control should be clearly
coordinated with all project stakeholders involved in modeling and coordination for design and construction.

The project should also consider assuming the risk and / or quality control of the layout for critical components such as
anchor bolts, embeds, structural elements, portions of process or packaging systems or challenging architectural features.
