The meeting also discussed a set of changes that will be applied to the mechanism for discovering talents in schools, such as
increasing the empowerment of sports teachers, and defining the target age group from 13 to 18 years, noting that the new
changes will facilitate the measurement of performance indicators to monitor and evaluate talent.
It is noteworthy that the Coordinating Council for Sports, during its third meeting, which was held last June, announced the
list of priority sports with the aim of enhancing the UAE’s presence in the Olympic Games and increasing opportunities for
continental and international achievements.
