Lone Star with Green and Red Border 1930s. eBay purchase from Nazareth, PA. 70”x84” Fabric: Cotton, red
and Nile green borders around a starr comprised of prints. Batting: Light. Backing: Nile green cotton. Edge:
A Nile green band ½” wide on each side is applied by hand. Piecing: By machine. Quilting: By hand within
the diamond shapes comprising the center star and in a broad grid with lines 3” apart in the borders.
Condition: Very good on the front; extensive water stains and a 3” tear in the area of the border on the
back.
