Alphabet 1970s at the earliest. eBay purchase in 2015. 36½"x50" Fabric: Cotton appliques. Batting: Thin,
density feels like cotton. Backing: Cotton checkered, small scale print. Edge: Back brought to front ¼" with
decorative hand-stitching added. Piecing: Machine. Appliqué are done in machine buttonhole-type stitch.
Quilting: By hand around squares and images, 3 stitches per inch. Condition: Very good. Comment: Chosen
for originality. Motifs are alligator, buildings, car, dog, elephant, frog, glue, helicopter, ice cream, jacks,
kites, lollipop, mountains, needles, octopus, pagoda, quilt, rocket, sandwich, TV, umbrella, violin, whale,
x-ray, yoyo, and zeppelin.
