               Appliquéd Flowers or Pomegranites Age unknown. The pattern and brightness go back to 1860s. Quilts got
               dark through the Victorian era, then brighter after 1930s. I found a comparable dated 1920. Seattle area
               antique show prior to 2003. 78"x91½" Fabric: Cotton. Batting: Light cotton. Backing: Cotton muslin. Edge:
               The border is brought to the back ¼" and caught by hand. Piecing: Appliqué by hand impossibly small
               stitching. Quilting: By hand, extensive, inside the edge of each motif, expanding to circles ¼" to ½" apart.
               Condition: Very good. There is very minor wear to the turkey red resulting in a few holes the size of a
               match head; the green is surprisingly stable for an old quilt.
