               Appliquéd Cotton Bolls New, certainly no older than 1960s. eBay purchase 2014. 99"x108" Fabric: Cotton,
               possibly polycotton. The white is a knit. Batting: Likely polyester. The quilting is not dense enough to hold
               cotton in place. Piecing: Both applique and piecing by modern zig-zag machine. Quilting: By hand along
               the edges of the sashes and around the motifs. It barely shows on top. 5 Stitches to the inch. Condition:
               Excellent. Comment: There is enough variation in the angles of the stems of the "bolls" to make the graphic
               interesting. I have seen a roughly-made "boll" in red called "Strawberry," so evidently it’s a known pattern,
               although it does not appear in any of my books. I like the tradition of a repeated motif.
