               my mom had a
               quilt like that

Wheels 1889, 1890, 1959 (marked in India ink on one edge; could reflect dates of completion, or ownership,
or anything else.) eBay purchase. 72”x88” Fabric: Cotton. Batting: Light weight cotton with debris. Backing:
Muslin. Edge: ¼” tape in red print, popped, applied by hand front and back. Piecing: By hand. Quilting:
By hand, in lines 3 /8” apart, within pieces and echoing the shape of the piece. Done in white thread in red
and white pieces, and in black within green pieces. Condition: Acceptable to good. Whites are browned.
Some dark brown stain on the back. Comment: The fabric is strong and firm and colors bright. The only
detriment is the darkening of the whites. Vendor laundered the quilt and said that helped considerably.
She says that repeated applications of peroxide might remove remaining stains, but I’ve never tried that so
can’t vouch for how well it might work.
