Benefits Provided to Employees
We offer the following benefits to our full-time employees:
Provident Fund
All permanent employees are required to join the 50% subsidized Liberty Life provident fund. Both the
company and the employees each contributes 5% of the monthly value, this equates to a 10% contribution
towards the fund.
The Provident Fund offers the following benefits:
• Retirement: Our fund managers pay the value of an employees’ retirement amount at the
retirement age of 65.
• Group Life/Death Benefit: the group life/death benefit is structured at 2x annual income. This
amount is distributed as per indicated percentages amongst nominated beneficiaries.
• Family Benefit: This benefit covers the employees’ (main beneficiary) elected beneficiaries.
Medical Aid
We utilise the services of a medical aid scheme that has a wide range of plans, it covers up to 60 chronic
conditions; benefits for dentistry and optometry; as well as managed care programmes plus care and
support for families.
Xperien and the employee each contribute 50% of the premium and the main member is liable for full
payment for all dependents registered on the medical aid. The company strives to provide affordable
medical care to its employees and is aware that not all employees may afford the periodic fees.
As a result, the company makes an exception for any employees under the age of 30 that earn a gross
monthly income of less than R8 500. This group of employees is allowed the option of not signing up for a
medical aid scheme.
Study Sponsorship/Study Assistance/Staff Loans
We value the continued development of our employees’ skills and competencies. We make provisions for
study sponsorships and personal loans for employees. Employees are encouraged to make our Human
Resources Department aware of their needs.
Parental Leave
As part of our employment terms, employees are entitled to 10 days paid Parental/Adoptive Leave upon the
birth of a child and upon legal adoption of a child.
If an employee gives birth to a child, the company is committed to contributing 22% of normal salary per
month, for the duration of the Leave. Employees who qualify according to the Unemployment Insurance
