In addition to this, another goods loading platform is under
development at Metpally station with WBM surface. This is targetted to
be commissioned in December 2021. The likely investment for
developing this Goods shed is Rs.80 Lakhs and it is expected that 50 to
60 no. of rakes per year of food grains (outward) / fertilizers (inward)
will be handled in this Goods shed after development. Apart from the

above soft upgrades at various goods loading stations, another
model goods shed was developed at Khammam station on Kazipet-
Vijayawada section duly providing resting shed, BT surfacing,
improved lighting etc., Similarly, goods loading platforms at
Zaheerabad and Udgir on Vikarabad-Parli Vaijnath section were also
developed to tap non-traditional freight basket. By doing these soft
upgrades/ improvements total revenue of Rs. 263 Crores was

generated in these sections.

2.1.15. INSTALLATION OF CENTRALIZED OXYGEN GAS PIPE LINE SYSTEM AT KZJ
COVID CENTER:
Centralized Oxygen gas pipeline system has been installed at Kazipet
Covid-19 center. 60 oxygen beds at STC & 60 beds at KZJ installed in a
record time of 30 days.
