movement of heavy cranes for granite , trailers, lorries etc., in and out
during loading and unloading operations, the earth surface was badly
deteriorated, resulting in formation of pot holes , water ponds , and

there is no proper arrangements for draininge. Improvement to
platform surface with WBM/Moorum was taken up on a war footing by
taking a block of 40 days( both day and night) by using heavy
machinery like Hitachi, JCB, Vibromax Rollers, tippers etc. Total loading
area of platform size 600 X 13m was improved. For improvement of
Goods shed an investment of Rs.180 Lakhs was done which has
improved the utilisation of Goods shed effectively. A total of 58 rakes
were loaded and Rs.11.8 Crores were earned during the period

September 2020 to August 2021.

SULTANABAD:

Sultanabad in Peddapalli-Nizambad section mainly deals with
unloading of Fertilizers and loading of Food grains. The existing kacha
surface was improved with innovative method of surfacing by
providing released PSC sleeper matting. The expenditure incurred for
this is very less compared to the traditional surfacing like concrete and

bituminous surface. The entire loading platform was improved with
released PSC sleepers for smooth movement of heavy trucks of
Fertilizers and Food grains within a short period of 15 days. More over
less curing time is required with this type of flooring and less disturbance
