Editing Your Promotion

   If you want to change the text or thumbnail image for any ad, go to the Promotion
   Detail page and click the Edit Promotion link near the top. This opens the title and
   text fields for editing, and displays all three available thumbnail images. Make your
   changes and then click the Save Promotion button.

Editing Your Bids

   You can also change how much you’re bidding for each individual keyword for an
   ad. Go to the Promotion Detail page for that ad, check the keyword you want to
   revisit, then click the Edit Bid button. This opens the Bid field for editing; make
   your changes and then click the Update Bids button.

Revising Your Budget

   For that matter, you can change your daily budget at any time during the process.
   From the main Promoted Videos Dashboard, click the Edit link in the Budget box
   on the left. This opens the Max. Daily field for editing. Enter your new daily budget
   number and then click the Submit button.

Pausing, Resuming, and Deleting Ads

   Finally, you can pause or delete an ad campaign at any point. From the Promoted
   Videos Dashboard, check the campaign you want to change and then click either
   the Pause button (to pause display of the ad), the Resume button (to resume display
   of a paused ad), or the Delete button (to totally delete a campaign).

The Bottom Line

   When you want to get more notice for your YouTube videos, consider advertising
   them on the YouTube site, using YouTube’s Promoted Videos feature. A Promoted
   Video appears on YouTube’s search results pages when viewers search for keywords
   associated with that video. It’s PPC advertising, so the advertiser pays only when a
   Promoted Videos ad is clicked—which then plays the associated video.

   To create a Promoted Videos ad, you have to select a video to promote, write a title
   and short descriptive text, and select a thumbnail image for the ad. You also have to
   select which keywords to bid on, and how much you want to pay (on a CPC basis)
   for those keywords. You then set a daily budget and start the ad—the performance
   of which you monitor via the Promoted Videos Dashboard.
