Page 141 - Taming Your Gremlin A Surprisingly Simple Method for Getting Out of Your Own Way (Rick Carson)_Neat

THE “FANTASY IS REALITY” STRATEGY
Your gremlin loves the idea of having you lead your life based on
assumptions. The world of mind is his turf. Sometimes simply taking the
time to accurately phrase your processes as you notice them will send your
gremlin scurrying and bring you from fantasy into reality, and hence to the
all-important point of choice.
If, for example, you feel that your employer will reject an idea that you
really want to share with him, you might say to yourself, “I am imagining
that my boss will reject my idea.” It’s important that you emphasize the
word imagine, for what you are after is a heightened awareness of the way
your gremlin is frightening you. In other words, you are simply noticing
and accentuating the obvious.
You can explore your fantasy to whatever depth you choose by
following this process format and filling in the blanks accordingly.
