                       MAKE A BOOK

                    Using the provided book templates on the following pages,  make a
             book with the kids!

           Have the students cut out the pictures on p. 27
             and mix them up

           See if they can put them in order and describe              MATERIALS
             the pictures in Spanish  Glue the pictures in
             correct order into the mini-book.
           Show students how to fold into a book and then
             help them staple it into place. They may design
             their own cover and create their own title if
             desired .   Younger students should paste on
             the words, while older can write their own.

                       WRITE A BOOK



         1.  Time permitting, have students write captions under their pictures
         2.  They may write full sentences, or just label words they know and
             discuss verbally

         3.  You can modify this for younger learners by helping them cut out the
             text and glue it below each picture

         4.  Provide a list of words or sentences on the board for students to
             copy.
         5.  Encourage your students to share their books with their families

         Sit in a circle and sing, “adios clase ” song
           Have each kid say, “nos vemos” to you as you say goodbye. Give kids a high five!
         Adiós Emma, adiós Riley, adiós Jackson . .  . Nos vemos muy, muy pronto. Adiós  Jen-
                  na, adiós Nora, adiós Profe Dunn, nos vemos muy, muy pronto . . .
