Take Attendance immediately (review attendance policy in handbook)
If permitted, eat snack and check kids homework; award a sticker
Sit in a circle on the ground or in chairs together.
Teach Body parts song
Begin today with a the body parts song. Stand up and get kids singing
and dancing this song: VOCABULARY
Sing the song several times and have kids point to the
body part as you sing.
Orejas, ojos, nariz, boca, nariz, boca, nariz, boca
Orejas, ojos, nariz, boca . . . Mucho pelo
brazos, piernas , estomago
Tip: go slow, go fast, be silly, be unexpected as you sing. Change your voice
and speed

ACTIVITY
Use Mr. Potato head to teach body parts
1. Hand out all the arms, legs, eyes, ears, mouths,
shoes & accessories
2. Have the class help you put together a boy, girl,
monster anything funny Play with them and encourage them to VOCABULARY
be silly. (For example maybe he has an arm for hair)
3. Give your character a name and repeat this a couple times
4. Ask questions like: Tiene una nariz o dos narices? Tiene un ojo
grande o pequeno? Tiene una oreja? Tres orejas?
Tip: Save your favorite character for storytime so he/she can act!Have
your character: camina rapido, baila, corre, come, agarra chocolate

TARGET VOCABULARY
Part 1 Vocabulary review:
1. Take out your vocabulary picture cards to re-
view all the words the kids have learned so far
2. If you want, when the child says the word, give
them the card to hold VOCABULARY
3. Make sure all the kids get a chance to say the
word
Part 2 Vocabulary review:
1. TPR movement—say the word and have kids do the action
