                       OPENING

         Take Attendance immediately (review attendance policy in handbook)
           If permitted, eat snack and check kids homework; award a sticker
         Sit in a circle on the ground or in chairs together.
           Show picture cards for: bien, mal, mas o menos
           Ask questions like:  ¿mal o bien?  ¿Mal? ¿Mas o menos?
           Sing “¿Cómo estás?”  to the kids.                           VOCABULARY
           2. Ask each child how they are using the microphone

           3. Use actions (thumbs up, down) for:   Bien     Mal       Mas o menos
                                                                         TIP:   Be unexpected:  Change how you sing
           4.  Show cards of:   happy/sad/okay face to help them answer
                                                                         the song, ask each child if they want it: rapido,
           Ask in response:                                             despacio, loco, normal . . .
         ¿Cómo está Carla?    ¿Está bien?    ¿Está mal?         ¿Está mas o menos?
              Then chant, “Molly está bien, Molly está  bien!”

                        TARGET VOCABULARY

                  ACTIVITY: TEACH VOCAB WITH ACTIONS AND PLAY FREEZE TAG
           Move to a new location Have students stand up!
           Teach word with a movement/motion. Use sound affects too!

           Each word must be taught with a picture cards and action; teach:
         •   Llora   - llora rapido, llora despacio, llora arriba, llora abajo    VOCABULARY
         •   Corre   - corre rapido, corre despacio

         •   La casa  (make the shape of a house) - grande o pequena?
         •    El  lobo  (make the noise)

         •    Come  - come pizza, come chocolate, come pasta, come fruta
         •   Show the wolf eating: chocolate, pizza, la Tortuga? Be funny!

                       REVIEW VOCABULARY
                  - Review all the picture cards kids have learned so far:
           Hold cards up and ask questions, see if kids know the words

         •   El carro—es rapido o despacio?

         •  La Tortuga – la Tortuga camina rapido o despacio?           VOCABULARY

         •  La nina—Es nina o nino?

         •  El nino—El nino camina o el nino baila?
         •  Baila— Baila o camina?

         •  Come—Come fruta o come chocolate?

         •   Es un gato o es un perro?  El gato hace “meow” o el gato hace
             “woof”?
